Above & Beyond Dog Training & Rehabilitation offer a superior dog boarding experience for all breeds of dog no matter size or shape. Nestled in beautiful country acreage at Tarampa, our fully insulated, secure kennels provide your best friend the best alternative to being with you at home. We cater for both long-term and short-term visits and are able to provide accredited NDTF training and/or dog rehabilitation/behavior issue services for your dog while they are boarded with us. All kennels are well ventilated, private, secure indoor/outdoor runs with constant access, individual exercise areas.
Cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us and all areas are meticulously maintained, and dogs are toileted on a regular basis from 6am to 8pm daily. Each of our canine guests gets fed twice daily and exercised regularly throughout the day in large outdoor grass exercise runs with an additional 3 secure outside pens we use in rotation on sunny days. When the weather gets too warm we cool our dog kennels with wall mounted fans, use essential oils burners to help ease nerves during bad storms, and the entire building is insulated to provide the perfect environment year round for your dogs holiday.
We have our own heated hydrobath, and also offer a nail trimming and coat maintenance service.
Every dog must be current with their C5 vaccination (last 12 months) and on worming medication
EXERCISE & PLAYTIME
Your dog will be kept physically active and mentally stimulated during their boarding with us.
DIET & NUTRITION
We believe a dogs diet is paramount to their health, and serve premium food as well as special diets
Your pooch will have their own individual quality trampoline bed and clean washed bedding to sleep on while they listen to music we pipe in softly to help calm and soothe. Of course, the daily healthy doggy treats we hand out don’t hurt either, and if you are missing your mate – you can buy extra treats and toys in our shop for us to give them.
We also offer a heated hydrobath and can trim your dog’s nails at an extra cost. There is no extra charge for dogs that require medication and your pet’s health is monitored very closely. Careful attention is given each day to ensure all dogs are in good physical and mental health, with plenty of affection and fun thrown in free. Special dietary needs can also be catered for.

Live-in Dog Training
Sometimes the best way to get the jump on your dog’s training is to have them stay with us while they learn the fundamental manners and obedience in a structured environment. The training areas are based on real-life situations and interactions that are fully monitored and safe for your dog to learn socialization and discipline in a fun, consistent way. This 10-day program is great for dog owners that are having problems with initial training, are short on time or who are overwhelmed at the task and need some help. Also, a great opportunity to make the most of your dogs holiday boarding time. Each dog is given special attention, affection and plenty of rewards to make the process as enjoyable as possible. Every dog has basic training around non-reactive dogs, in fenced areas to achieve success at sit, stay, come (here), loose leash walking and duration (mat training). Each day has free time and play-time included. Visit the training page or contact us to find out more.
We can only strongly recommend Cathy and her team! When we started, we had two highly reactive rescue dogs. With her advice, so much has already changed for the better! Now they are obedient, far less reactive, much calmer and they are getting more and more responsive. With the training, I’ve also learned a lot about myself. We still have a long way to go, but life with our dogs is so much nicer, happier and relaxed now and we couldn’t be more grateful for all the advice given.

Cathy is a great trainer! She helped us with a few little issues we had with Bear. We no longer have a dog that pulls on the lead and will sit on command when we are out walking. She is a wealth of knowledge and her follow up is fantastic. You can tell she really loves what she does and cares for the dogs. We highly recommend Cathy to anyone! Once again thanks for all your time!

The best ever thing has happened we let Cathy take our 3 years old Cleopatra off our hand for few weeks for obedience training/rehabilitation to deal with her serious aggressive reactivity toward dogs to a big softhearted typically bully, Cleopatra came back home as a new girl and no longer aggressive around dogs. We surprised Cleopatra a miniature dachshund puppy after she has settled in. During the BIG induction the other night was something very different - Cleo was being overexcited/tossing Maverick around with her butthead and wanting to play with no acknowledgement that Maverick is quite too little to be roughed up. They are now inseparable as Cleo is being like a mother to her little brother Maverick. Dust has settled and here we roll as the happy family! ? Again we can’t thank enough for all Cathy’s hardworking in training Cleo to be a softhearted young girl instead of butchering dogs/puppies. A++++++

I've done beginner and intermediate class (twice) with Cathy. Cathy does a fantastic job explaining the psychology of a dog and how our actions influence our relationships. Mika and I have come so far, and we owe so much of our journey to Cathy's guidance. The classes are full of awesome people who arent judgemental, and the classes are very affordable. There really is no excuse not to improve. Thank you so much Cathy. See you again soon in the next class.

Hey guys we came to Cathy with Thumper our rescue puppy who had issues with water and taking a bath. He also was just into his teens so he could have done with a bit of manors also. We had tried everything to try and get him over his fear of water beside drugging him which was not something we wanted to do but if Cathy couldnt help him then that was our last resort. With in 10 mins of being with Cathy not only did he get into the hydro bath but he actually took a bath and enjoyed every sec of it( this is same dog that would scratch, jump, screem, pee himself and basically almost hang himself on the lead just to get out of contact with water). My face dropped and i was over the moon, so much so that i asked Cathy if she does an in-house boot camp. And left him with her for 10 days. Through out the boot camp Cathy kept us updated with Thumper by facebook with pictures and videos. Fast forward 10 days later we came in and did a 2 hour crash course with her on how to keep him going with his training at home and what he has learnt so far. The difference is night and day. He is now starting to be the best dog he can be. The signs are all there and its thanks to Cathy and her team. Would recommend her to anyone with any dog issues. 10/10.

Well we sent our 2 American Staffy’s to Cathy for training for a month, we had over loved them and let them rule the house and our lives i.e allowing them on furniture and our bed, they had no strict boundaries and were full of anxiety from never being away from us or separated from each other. Now they are home Cathy has given us our sanity back!! We need to in force and keep up all the hard work Cathy has done! Wish we had done this 2 years ago.
